Player Division Criteria

It is the intent of OMHA that all players will play in the Division as their age dictates. Is it recognized that situations may arise where the best interests of the player and the association are best met by moving a player from one division to another. These situations are assessed on an individual basis and are subject to the guidelines as per the NBMHC Ops Manual.

Requests to have players moved from one division to another must by made in writing prior to the evaluation of the recreational teams and submitted to the OMHA Chair, Vice Chair, Registrar and Division Directors of both respective divisions by the player’s parent/guardian.

The request must identify the reasons for the movement. All such movement must be first approved by the OMHA Board considering the number of players currently registered in each division (i.e., number of teams and size of rosters). Once approved by the Board, it is then submitted for final approval by the NBMHC District Director.
